Scientific 'miraculousness' of the Quran ?
Ijaz Ilmi is the idea that verses of the Quran, or Hadith (prophetic tradition) contain scientific facts that have been discovered only in modern times confirming the Quran ‘miraculousness’.
The Ijaz produced a cultural phenomenon that has reached an unprecedented popularity in the Muslim world. Unfortunately, this phenomenon didn’t offer us any positive contribution. On the contrary, it deeply fuzzes the relationship between Science and Islam.
The aim of this article is to criticize some aspects of the Ijaz and suggests solutions to establish a better understanding of Science in the Muslim world.
